Finally Registered to Vote

I used to think what was the point of me voting. Its not like one vote ever did anything. Over the this year though its made me realize that its not just casting a ballot, its making my voice heard and letting people know that I was part of the process in electing the next president. This year's election is the most important than any other in our country's history because so much is at stake. Now that I'm finally registered to vote I really do have to consider who I'm going to vote for. I will have to be honest though I am leaning more towards Barrack Obama, because I do agree with a lot of his ideas. I especially agree with him though on the health care system,we do need to fix it to where it is affordable for everyone to have. I also like his ideas to help with the economic crisis because we are in need for leadership to get us out of the mess we're in right now. We really are in need of change in our government and I think Obama is the person to make that type of change we need.Regardless of who your voting for, it is important that you vote because you can't really complain about the problems were having if you don't vote. So I hope everyone out there who is going to be 18 and are eligible to vote will do so. I wonder how it will feel to wake up that morning after the election and know that we have a new president for a least the next four years. This will be a very interesting election to watch and I know it will change our country in a big way whatever the outcome.
